Erasmus joins Maitland board

Maitland has appointed Maureen Erasmus to its board as non-executive director, to support the fund administrator’s global growth plans.

She joins in a period of swift growth for the firm, following expansion in the UK and North America. Maitland has also recently launched its Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) management company in Luxembourg.

Erasmus brings expertise in corporate strategy, organisational change and risk management. She has led corporate growth strategies at A.T. Kearney, where she was a partner, and at Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch.

Currently, she is partner for financial services at management company Bain & Company.

Michael Solomon, chairman of Maitland, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have someone of Maureen’s calibre and experience joining us at what is a very exciting juncture for us in terms of global growth. She has precisely the right set of skills and knowledge, cultivated at the highest echelons of the industry, to make an important contribution to our strategy as we continue our rapid expansion.”

Erasmus said: “The thoughtful business model of Maitland focuses on delivering a wide range of quality services in an innovative, integrated manner, focused on optimising centres of excellence within the firm which is perfectly suited to the modern financial ecosystem.”

“I am looking forward to serving on the board of a business which has tremendous potential, and advising the company when it comes to achieving its goals for 2016 and beyond.”
